LottyB silk Kaftans, dresses, sarongs and scarves hand painted on the Island of Mustique by Lotty Bunbury

Lotty Bunbury has been painting silk sarongs since first arriving on the tropical island of Mustique.  What started out as a short break in the Caribbean with her husband Michael

Bunbury the sole Doctor on the island, has turned into a home for them both and their four children.

Educated at St. Mary’s Convent in Dorset, and then at Chelsea Art College in London, Lotty spent her childhood traveling the world with her parents and nine brothers and sisters.  The ethnic influences of Africa and the Far East, and especially the colours and nature of Mustique have all played a part in her many and varied designs.

Each sarong is hand painted by Lotty at her home on the island of Mustique, before being sent away for production.  For the first few years every sarong was an original, but due to increasing demand, Lotty went into print in 2002, and has since expanded the collection to include kaftans and resort wear.  Famous for beautiful craftmanship, presentation and attention to detail, “Lotty B” defines the casual, elegant chic style that is Mustique.
